The Power of Perspiration!

SweatingEGG

SWEATING or PERSPIRING flushes the impurities and toxins from our skin, helping bring water to the skin’s surface in the process. Did you ever notice how wonderful, glowing and clear your skin looks after a good sweat? Notice how much smaller your pores look? This is because sweating helps to improve skin’s elasticity and tone. Yes, we know this may sound odd, but it’s true – the more you sweat, the more beautiful your skin appears. Don’t get us wrong, we know that most of us don’t usually like to sweat or perspire; it makes us feel all sorts of uncomfortable and sticky. However, next time you break that sweat, remember that you’re doing one of the best things possible for your skin!

With this in mind, we’re going to give you a few ideas on how you can sweat out the impurities:

EXERCISE
Exercising is a great way to perspire. Visit the gym, go for a run, or attend a hot power yoga class. Exercise also has the added benefit of helping our entire bodies overall health; from our muscles to our heart, blood pressure, cognitive function and internal organs. Exercise also helps reduce stress and releases endorphins, which is also known as our “happy chemicals”.

GIVE YOUR SKIN A STEAM BATH
Steaming your skin is one of the best ways to unclog pores and detoxify skin. It softens the skin’s surface and helps free any dead cells, dirt, bacteria or other trapped matter that could cause breakouts or uneven complexion. In addition to this, steaming helps stimulate blood and oxygen circulation – which is necessary for the reproduction of new and healthy skin cells. There are several ways to steam your skin.

Stay tuned for our next blog where you’ll be able to find out exactly how you can give your skin a steam bath from the comfort of your own home!
