Key Natural/Botanical Ingredients

Avocado Oil: The avocado tree is native to Central America. It is one of the few vegetable oils not derived from seeds but pressed from the fleshy pulp surrounding the avocado pit. The oil is a powerful moisturizer that can penetrate the skin deeper than other oils as well as being a rich source of Vitamin A, B, D and E. It is renowned for effectively treating skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis and is considered to be a natural sunscreen.

Shea Butter: A natural moisturizing butter obtained from the nuts of the Mangifolia tree in Central Africa. What makes shea butter so great for the skin is its high content of non-saponifiable fatty acids (comprised mostly of stearic and oleic acids.) These fatty acids are indispensable for moisturizing and helping the skin retain its elasticity. Shea Butter’s healing, emollient, anti-oxidant, soothing, moisturizing and re-generative properties make it an essential ingredient.

Meadowsweet: Anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant. Has a general anti-aging effect on the skin because of its ability to protect the connective tissues which tend to deteriorate with age. Increases cell turnover, promoting skin renewal and calming inflammation. Modern day aspirin is derived from Meadowsweet.

Evening Primrose: Essential fatty acid oil, rich in gamma-linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids. Also known as Vitamin F. An anti-inflammatory that helps to hydrate, restore and rebalance dry skin. Helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines on your skin and improve firmness and elasticity. It also helps your body in producing required new skin cells. Evening primrose helps reduce skin blemishes and visible skin redness and promotes good coloration for your skin.
